Huffy Green Machine H2O
The Huffy Green Machine H2O is a modification of the original Green Machine big wheel
tricycle. The original Green machine was first developed in the 1970's and proved to be a firm favorite with
kids. The trike continues to be made to this day and with the release of the Green Machine 2
Toy, it seems that a new generation of kids will enjoy pulling 180, 360 or 540 degree turns. The Green Machine
H2O goes on step further in terms of innovation. It turns the Green Machine into a jousting or dueling tricycle.
This article will detail some of the features that you will find on the H2O machine.
The actual design of the Huffy Green Machine H2O is pretty much the same as the
original. One noticeable difference is in the dimensions of the trike. It has a 16 inch front
wheel as opposed to the original that has a 21 inch diameter wheel. This would suggest that the H2O is
designed for smaller kids. This is confirmed by some reviews on the trike however plenty of adults seem to have fun
riding this machine too. In this respect, the seat is adjustable, which means that the tricycle can accommodate big
of most sizes.
The next most obvious difference between the H20 green machine and the original tricycle is that this model is
blue in color or livery. As it is known as the H2O or even the aqua trike this explains the
thinking behind the color.
However the H20 or aqua name is also explained by the fact that this trike has a weapon attached to it.
There is a front mounted, hand operated water squirting system that allows the rider to blast
their friends (it's only for fun of course) with a jet of water as they go flying past.
The front mounted water gun is attached to a bottle behind the seat of the machine. This bottle stores around
half a liter of water that should last for a good session of riding and playing.
So these are the main differences of the Huffy Green Machine H2O :
The size is slightly smaller
The color is an aqua blue
There is a water spraying gun mounted to the tricycle
Other than these three differences, the Huffy Green Machine H2O is exactly the same as the original version. It
has the same dual control column like steering. It has the wide, rear wheel base which ensure stability when making
tight turns.
There is a front disk brake, operated by hand. The trike is referred to as a kick scooter,
indicating that you have to use pedal power to propel the machine forward. Pedals are attached to a crankshaft that
turns the big front wheel.
The seat is a molded plastic shape and is fully adjustable, ensuring that the Green Machine H2O
will adapt to the growth of it's owner.
This is a fun tricycle for kids (and quite a few adults it would seem). The water pistol device
is sure to add another element to how kids play with the machine although I am not sure how accurate the water
spray system is.
